Type of Job : Fixed Term Contract for a period of 3 years.
Emoluments : Rs 14,610/- per month. On acquiring/having valid Basic AVSEC qualification & X-BIS certification, additional allowances i.e Rs 1000/- for BASIC AVSEC and Rs 1500/- for X-BIS will be paid as applicable.
ELIGIBILITY Y CRITERIA AS ON 01.12.2016
(I) Educational Qualifications :
- Candidates should possess valid basic AVSEC Certificate and/or Screener Certificate.
- Candidates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate : Graduate in any discipline (minimum 3 years duration) from a recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language.
- In case of Ex-Servicemen – who are graduate, have a service record of minimum 15 years in the armed forces and who have been honorably discharged from the services during the preceding two years.
(II) Preferable :
- BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Qualified.
- BCAS Certified XBIS Screener (Valid Certification).
- BCAS Certified In-Line Screener (Valid certification).
- NCC ‘B’/ ‘C’ Certificate.
- Knowledge of fire fighting.
- Knowledge in Industrial security.
- Knowledge in disaster management.
- Knowledge of unarmed combat.
- Legal Knowledge.
- Armed forces/Police back grounds.
- Diploma/Certification course in Computers.
(III) Height :
- General – 170 cms
- SC& OBC – 165 cms
- ST,Gorkhas and those hailing from North-East states and hilly areas – 162.5 cms
- General – 157 cms

- ST,Gorkhas and from North-East states & hilly areas – 150 cms
Note : Medical Certificate from the Registered Medical Practitioner, indicating actual height in cms. and weight in kgs. must be attached with the application.
(IV) Age Limit :
- General : Not above 28 years (born between 02.12.1988 and 01.12.1998)
- SC/ST : Not above 33 years (born between 02.12.1983 and 01.12.1998)
- OBC : Not above 31 years (born between 02.12.1985 and 01.12.1998)
(V) Relaxation in age limit : Candidates holding valid Basic AVSEC qualification will get further relaxation of 03 years in age.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
(a) Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the post, will have to undergo a Physical Endurance Test (PET) comprising running of 100 meters in 16 seconds OR 1000 meters in 4.5 minutes as opted by the candidates, on the same day / following day(s). A relaxation of 6 seconds will be given to female candidates for running of 100 meters in Physical Endurance Test (PET).
(b) For Candidates with valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate : Candidates who qualify the PET and are holding valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate would be required to undergo Written Examination with regard to Aviation Security Function Awareness on the same day or on the following day.
(c) Candidates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate : Candidates who qualify in the PET would be required to undergo a Written Test comprising of Aptitude, Reasoning and a small Paragraph in Hindi or English language in order to adjudge their writing ability on the following day.
Note : There will be no negative marking in the written examination.
IMPORTANT DATES :
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement, are required to WALK-IN between 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs at the venue mentioned below on the following dates :-
(A) Candidates with valid Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate 06.12.2016 – for Physical Endurance Test (PET) followed by Written test (only for qualifying candidates).
(B) Candidates without Basic AVSEC and/or Screener Certificate (Graduates/ Freshers) – 07.12.2016 & 08.12.2016 – for Physical Endurance Test 09.12.2016 – for Written Test (only for qualifying candidates).
(C) Dress code : The candidates, in their own interest should come prepared for the Physical Endurance Test with appropriate clothing like tracksuit / pair of shorts and running shoes, etc.

HOW TO APPLY
i) Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as on 01.12.2016, are required to WALKIN with the duly filled Application Form (available on the Company web-site (www.airindia.in) along with all original Certificates/Testimonials in support of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, NCC Certificate, Doctor’s Certificate for height and weight, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC Candidates), Discharge Certificate (for ExServicemen), Experience Certificate and 2 recent passport size photographs. Candidates would also be required to furnish self attested copies of all the certificates/ testimonials as mentioned above along with the application form. Please note that No original certificate is to be submitted with the Application Form. Although, Candidates are required to bring all Original Certificates for verification purpose only.
ii) Candidates belonging to OBC category, the category certificate should be in the prescribed format including the “Non-Creamy layer clause” issued by the Competent Authority for employment under Government of India and should be as per the Central list of OBC’s published by the Govt of India. Please also note that the validity of the “Non-Creamy layer should not be older than 6 (six) months from the date of the eligibility i.e. 01.12.2016.
III) Candidates are also required to bring an A/c Payee Demand Draft for an amount of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of “Air India Ltd.”, payable at DELHI, as non- refundable Application Fee (Not applicable for SC/ST/Ex SM). IV) Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies, must walk-in with the completed Application Form routed through proper channel or along with “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer.
