Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University , is a public university located in the north prime of Bihar state in the city of Muzaffarpur in India.  The university was established in 1960, this university has 37 constituent colleges. The university provides distance educational courses as well. The university organizes symposia, seminars and workshops for all the students who are studying in the college. They offer  full-time and part-time courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate and research level.  It is a premier institution of teaching and learning in the city of Bihar. The Staff College of B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur is one of the 45 academic staff of college which is  established in different parts of the country since 1987. The programme of action of the National Policy of Education (N.P.E). SELECTION PROCESS

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public university funded by the Government of India. It was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. The Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920. The main campus of AMU is located in the city of Aligarh. The Maulana Azad Library is the library of the university. It consists of a central library and over 100 departmental and college libraries.It houses royal decrees of Mughal emperors such as Babur, Akbar and Shahjahan are highlights of the collection.The foundation of the Library was laid in 1877 at the time of establishment of the Mohammedan Anglo Oriental College by Lord Robert Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Earl of Lytton, the then Viceroy of India and it was named after him as Lytton Library. Andhra University is one of the oldest universities in India. It is located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1926  and shared affiliating responsibilities with Madras University in the initial years.  Andhra University is not just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country, but is also the first to be conceived as a residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University, mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research.  The people of the State have an emotional attachment to the institution, since it came into being after a prolonged and collective struggle of the Telugu elite for a University in the educationally backward northern Circars and Ceded districts of the erstwhile Madras Presidency.  The University Presently is Offering 313 Courses in Arts, Commerce, Management, Science & Technology, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and Education. The University has five constituent colleges and four AU Campuses.   The University has well experienced and export faculty known world wide for their research contributions. There are 354 Professors, 198 Associate. Professors and 115 Asst. Professors serving the University. II)  For Engineering Courses

  • Students will be admitted into undergraduate courses through a test called AUEET (Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test ) for 5-Year Integrated Dual Degree courses and twinning programmes. In this course both Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degrees will be given in 5-years.
  • Students are admitted into Postgraduate programmes based on their GATE scores based on all India ranking (or) their ranking in (PGECET) [Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test] – a test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

 

ADMIT CARD :-

Admit card can be downloaded from the official site of University.  Applicants have to furnish all the details correctly for downloading their admit cards for entrance test.

RESULTS :-

ADMISSION :- 

The Anna University conducts the admissions to its courses through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test TANCET  for all the candidates who wish to study in the courses of the Anna University.  The Syllabus for TANCET will be uploaded in the University website.  Applicants an download the syllabus and start preparing for their exam.

ABOUT THE CAMPUS: Aliah University has four campuses for different types of curriculum located at Park Circus, Taltala and New Town (Rajarhat). New Town campus contains 1156 class rooms with a capacity of 12000 students and houses Science and Technology students only. The campus also has separate boy’s and girl’s hostel currently under construction. New Town campus also has three annexure buildings dedicated for various laboratories and a central library.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY: Aliah University has three libraries in its three different campuses. They have a collection of several engineering and science departments and literature in Islamic Theology, Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, Arabic, Humanities as well as books, periodicals, journals, magazines, papers from a wide range of national and international backgrounds.The Central Library is housed in a three-storey building connected through the gang way with the admin building of Rajarhat Campus. ADMISSION PROCEDURE IN THE UNIVERSITY: Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Aliah University is granted through the process of  written entrance examinations. Admission to M.S. and Ph.D. programmes is based on a personal interview, though candidates have to take written tests as well. But Ph.D programme is open to all, not only for the Aliah Universities students. Anybody can apply for thr Ph.D programmes. B.S. Abdur Rahman University is a private university,which is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. The college is one of the largest engineering institutions in India and is ranked among the top-50 engineering colleges of the country. The university was previously  functioning under Madras University  and Anna University  as B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Engineering College, the institute gained deemed status in 2008–09. University of Madras became an umbrella university, exclusively for non-professional, Art & Sciences colleges that offer BSc & BCom degrees. B. S. Abdur Rahman University is structured around ten schools of study. Research centres are also part of the schools, encouraging interdepartmental collaboration and opportunity for students to participate in exciting research projects.  The placement record of the institution has been remarkable and most students start their careers well before their graduation. The academic activities of the school are monitored by the respective Deans. The vice-chancellor of the university is Mr. V. M. Periasamy and the chairman of the university is Mr. Abdul Qadir A. Rahman Buhari.

DETAILS ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

LOCATION OF THE CAMPUS: The university is located in the Seethakathi Estate, Vandalur, Chennai, on the GST Road, seven kilometers from Tambaram Railway Station, 30 kilometers from Chennai Moffusil Bus Terminus (Koyambedu) and 17 kilometers from the Chennai International Airport. The university is next to the Vandalur zoo and is spread across  greenery along the GST road.

FACILITIES PROVIDED BY THE UNIVERSITY

ABOUT THE CAMPUS: The university consist of  excellent infrastructure facilities to successfully carryout the programmes offered by the university. The university spans 50.50 acres of sprawling, serene and evergreen  campus.  The vast campus has well planned network comprising blocks of various  departments, reading halls, classrooms. They have more than 70 class rooms, 80 laboratories, 14 department seminar halls, 14  department libraries are available for the efficient teaching learning process.

COMPUTING FACILITIES: The university has  has a total number of 24 servers, 60 workstations and 1500 desktop clients. A common computing facility is provided by the university to first year candidates  who want to browse the Internet beyond department working hours.

LIBRARY FACILITIES:  The  Central Library consist books on various disciplines of Engineering and Management, including books on Science and Humanities and other inter-disciplinary subjects. The Central Library has an air-conditioned audio-visual lab and reading room. They give one additional card for those students who are excellent in there studies.

HOSTEL FACILITIES: They have excellent hostel facilities and infrastructure within the campus that make students feel comfortable and makes them feel like they are living in there  home. There are men’s hostels which can keep upto 1500 students at one time. They have a secure women hostel which can keep 350 students at one time. The men and women hostels have their own mess, where the students are offered a choice of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food.

HEALTH CARE FACILITIES:  The University has a health center that functions 24 x 7 with additional 8 bed in-patient facility and an ambulance. Two resident doctors, one male and one female, are always  supported by qualified paramedical staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. A specialist doctor makes weekly visits to the hostel so as to ensure that every students in the hostel is safe and healthy. They have a tie up with AG Hospital, Tambaram, in case of any emergencies.

CONVENTION HALLS:  They have a very large Convention Center which houses an auditorium of 1400 seating capacity and three simple seminar halls of seating capacity 300, 200 and 100.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR DIFFERENT COURSES

FOR B.TECH PROGRAMMES

Candidates will be selected for the admission for B.Tech courses is made under two streams:

STREAM-A: Candidates are selected based on the merit in the engineering entrance exam conducted by the university and in the qualifying examination for the 50% of the total seats.

STREAM-B : Candidates will be selected based on the merit in JEE (mains) for the rest of 50% seats.

  • Candidates will have to pass the admission test conducted by the university which is conducted all over India.
  • Candidates will be notified for the examination through advertisement in newspaper and in the official website of the university.
  • The results will be published in the official website of the university.
  • Candidates will be called for counselling for admission based on there merit in the examination.
