Lakshmi Vilas Bank was founded in 1926 by a group of seven progressive businessmen of Karur under the leadership of Shri V.S.N. Ramalinga Chettiar. Their objective was to cater to the financial needs of the people in and around Karur who were occupied in trading businesses, industry and agriculture. The Bank was incorporated on November 3, 1926 under the Indian Companies Act, 1913, and obtained the certificate to commence business on November 10, 1926. Subsequent to introduction of the Banking Regulations Act, 1949 and Reserve Bank of India as the regulator for the banking sector, the Bank obtained its banking license from RBI on 19,June 1958, and on 11, August 1958 it became a ‘scheduled commercial bank’ signifying capability to operate as a full-fledged commercial bank.  The Bank has witnessed substantial improvement across all business parameters in the past six quarters. Mr. Parthasarathi Mukherjee, with over 33 years of experience in the banking industry, having extensive knowledge in the areas of International Trade & Finance , Integrated Treasury and Corporate Banking had taken charge as MD & CEO from 25-Jan-2016.

Branch Managers

Qualification : Must possess comprehensive knowledge of Consumer Banking products (CASA, FD, Insurance, Investments) and also have an in – depth exposure to Banking Operational Processes.

Desired Qualification – MBA (with specialization in Finance /Marketing)

Age :  Not more than 35 years of age

Experience :   6 – 9 yrs in the Banking industry.

Junior Officer 

Qualification :  Graduates from Recognized University with minimum experience of four years in Banking in Clerical Cadre and preferably with JAIIB/CAIIB qualification.

Qualification  :   Graduates from Recognized University with 15 years of experience for Officers in MMG post in the Legal Department of a Bank / Financial Institution.

Qualification :

  • Candidates having prior experience in SME , Working Capital and Retail Loans funding with Private banks in fund/ Non fund based products.Should possess sound knowledge in credit appraisal, Marketing, Pre and post sanction documentation. Inspector of Branches – Pan India

Qualification :

  • Graduate with CAIIB (Preferable)
  • Candidates should have sound background of credit, documentation, legal knowledge and retail lending.Candidates should have minimum three years of experience in a Bank audit department/branch head.Should have awareness regarding deposit and advances product including retail lending in banks. Officer – Monitoring and Recovery Group

Qualification :

  • Any Degree / CA
  • The officer would be primarily responsible for day to day monitoring of account adapting the latest available methods to alert the credit department on the status of the accounts showing stress or otherwise abnormal behavior. The officer would also be responsible for providing appropriate resolutions for recovery of the banks funds from special mentioned and non performing accounts.

Risk Officer – Operations / Market / Credit

Qualification :

  • Candidate should manage all aspects of the risk function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks. Assist in the development of and manage processes to identify and evaluate Operation / Market / Credit.

Relationship Manager – Trade and Forex

Qualification :

  • Candidate would be responsible for measurable income targets on trade and Forex. Should be capable of building the banks trade finance business and should handle all regulatory requirements to the Foreign exchange management act. Should have strong knowledge on post shipment and pre shipment finance, related to trade finance (LC, BD, BG, Structured remittances and Derivative products).

Aptitude Test : The Aptitude test will be be of 2 hrs and will be administered online. The test will assess the proficiency of candidates in the areas of :
1. Logic and Reasoning Skills
2. English Language Skills
3. Quantitative/ Numerical ability
4. Personal Assessment

Group Discussion & Personal Interview :
Based on case studies, the group discussions are mainly conducted to judge applicants on their analytical thinking, approach to hypothetical building around business situations and the ability to break down complex problems to arrive at simple solutions.  All applicants are expected to go through the interview round, which is the final step in the selection process.
