The Mizoram Police Force is the law enforcing agency of the state of Mizoram, India. The administrative control of Mizoram Police vests with the Home Minister of Mizoram who holds the portfolio of Home Minister. The supervision and coordination of Police is done by the Home Department, Govt. of Mizoram. The force is headed by Mr. Thianghlima Pachuau, IPS who is currently the acting Director General of Police. For administrative purposes, Mizoram is divided into Eight Districts, Each District is headed by one Superintendent of Police. Mizoram police resolves to give people an efficient,law abiding and responsive law Enforcement machinery. The purpose of Mizoram Police is to uphold the law fairly and firmly, to uphold the rule of law, to prevent crime, to pursue and bring to justice all those who break the law, to keep the peace with active Co-operation and in partnership with the community, to protect,help and reassure the people and to be seen to do all this with integrity, common sense and sound judgement. Mizoram Police has provided special rights for children and women for example :- A woman can be searched, only by another woman with strict regard to decency. (Section 51 and 100 CrPC); Any female occupant, who as per custom does not appear in public and not being the person to be arrested, has to be afforded reasonable opportunity to withdraw before entering a place for arresting a person who may be hiding there; Nothing is an offence which is done by a child above seven years of age and under twelve, who has not attained sufficient maturity of understanding to judge the nature and consequences of his conduct on that occasion. (Sec. 83 IPC).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :–
- For the post of constable the Candidate should be 12th passed from a Recognized Board.
- For the senior post the Candidate should be a Graduate from a Recognize University.
AGE LIMIT :–
The minimum and maximum age should be 18-28 years (Relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC Candidates).
SELECTION PROCESS :–
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in –

PHYSICAL STANDARDS :–
For Male Candidates :
Height– 182 cm minimum
Weight– According to Height But Min. 50 Kg.
Chest– 81 to 85 cm. (75 cm Only for ST and Hill Area Candidates). 5 cm. Phulav Compulsory.
For Female Candidates :
Height– 160 cm.
Weight– Min. 40 Kg. Compulsory.
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST :–
Male Candidates : Race– 1.6 Km. in 07 Minutes. and Long Jump- 12.5 Feet High Jump- 3.5 Feet.
Female Candidates : Race- 1.6 Km. in 08 Minutes. Long Jump- 10 Feet High Jump- 3 Feet.
RECRUITMENT BOARD :–
Police Establishment Board shall act as Recruitment Board. To Conduct Physical Test/ Written Test and Interview, Officers will be appointed and these Officers will submit the results to Police Establishment Board in order of Merit for Final Approval.
DECLARATION OF RESULT :–
After the approval of the Police Establishment Board, result will be tentatively declared.
After all the formalities appointment shall be issued by the appropriate appointing authority.
BASIC TRAINING :–
As Police training is compulsary for any Police Personnel newly appointed, all the appointed candidates should undergo basic training at Police Trainng School, Thenzawl at the first convenient time. Candidates who has been selected and cannot join the Training Centre within one month of the commencement of training for any reason shall be cancelled and shall forfeit the job.

- On the home page select “career” link and read advertisement.
- After that, download prescribed format of application Form”.
- Fill the format of application correctly and attach all self-attested photocopies of educational qualification certificates with passport size photos such as age proof, etc.
- Send this application form following address on or before last date.

IMPORTANT NOTE : –
During the selection process, verification of original certificates/documents will be done. The candidates will have to produce requisite original and valid certificates/documents such as Birth Certificate, Educational Qualifications, Technical Qualification, Experience, Valid Residence Certificate, Valid Caste Certificate, Valid Employment Registration Card etc. before the Recruitment Boards. The original certificates/documents will be checked and only eligible candidates will be permitted to the next stage of recruitment process. The candidates who fail to produce the requisite original and valid certificates/documents will be eliminated from the recruitment process and in no case candidates will be allowed provisionally. A candidate with a history of criminal activities, bad reputations in the Society and having reputation of addiction to drug or alcohol should not be appointed after written verification is received from the concerned Police Station.
