The Manipur Public Service Commission is the Constitutional body constituted for recommending candidates for recruitment to various posts of the Government of Manipur posts.The Chairman is the Head of the Commission. At present Dr. Amarjit Lukram is the Chairman and Shri L. Manao Singh and L. Misao are the Members. The first chairman of the Manipur public service commission was G.B.K Hooja. He was the chairman from 21.10.1972 to 31.01.1975. It is the duty of the State Public Service Commission to conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the state. Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done graduation from any recognized university/board for the post of lower divisional clerk. For higher post candidates should have done B.TECH from recognized university/board for the post in Engineering department. Candidates shall not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 30 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and ten years for persons with disabilities. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC who are physically handicapped will be eligible for grant of cumulative age relaxation under both the categories. Further the age limit is relaxed by five years for candidates of all categories as a last time and the maximum age limit for all the categories of candidates shall be:
- 35 years for General
- 38 years for OBC
- 40 years for SC/ST
- 45 years for visually impaired candidates belonging to General category.
- 48 years for visually impaired, candidates belonging to OBC.
- 50 years for visually impaired,candidates belonging to SC and ST.

- Assistant post:PB-2 (9300-34800). The grade pay for this job is 4200. The salary for this post is around 9300.
