The Tripura Public Service Commission is a government owned body which organizes various exams for Tripura government department. The Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October,1972. The very first chairman of T.P.S.C was Sri G.P.Bagchi. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala. Tripura Public Service Commission has a very important role to play in framing rules and regulations in the department. There functions is to conduct examinations for appointment to various services of the State. They make direct recruitment to their sub ordinates and to ministerial services. They advice the department on all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under the government. They advice the government to matters on referred to the commission by the governor. They can promote and demote any employee by there own will. If they see that any employee is not working up to the mark they can quickly remove them by handling him/her resignation.

FOR THE POST OF PRINCIPAL: Candidates applying for this post must have a master degree with at least 55% marks from recognized university/board.

FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR: Candidates who are applying for this post must completed there M.SC with 50% marks in in Forensic Science (with Physics/Mathematics as one of the subjects) or in Physics /Mathematics /Chemistry /Bio-Chemistry /Botany /Zoology /Micro-Biology /Bio Technology /Physical Anthropology /Genetics (with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects) or MD Degree in Medicine or equivalent from a recognized University.

FOR THE POST OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR: Candidates who are applying for this post must have completed there Master’s degree from any recognized university/board.

FOR THE POST OF INSPECTOR/FISHERY OFFICER: Candidates who are applying for this post  should have B.F.Sc. or M.F.Sc. / D.F.Sc. from a recognized university and bachelor degree in science with Zoology as one of the subject from a recognized university with 1 year Post Graduation certificate course in Fisheries science from CIFE.


FOR PRINCIPAL: Maximum 50 years not less than 50.

FOR DIRECTOR: The age limit for this post is between 40 to 50 years of age.

FOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR:  Upto 40 years and not more than that.

FOR INSPECTOR/FISHERY OFFICER:  The age of the candidate should be 40 years and should not be exceeding more than that.


FOR PRINCIPAL: :Rs.13,575-67,000/-pm.

FOR DIRECTOR:The pay scale is 13575-37000/-pm

FOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR: Rs 15600-39100/-pm

FOR INSPECTOR/FISHERY OFFICER: Rs 9570 – 30000 PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs 3500
